50 States Capitals' Game

Updated: Aug 21, 2022

Today we finished our Fifth grade Social Studies project: the 50 State Capitals' Game!

I have been planning on this learning tool for quite a while. Basically, I wanted a game that had buttons of some sort, now that my son is a kinesthetic learner, and he learns best when things look fun or have a degree of competition.

The idea came about while changing my baby's diaper! An "aha" moment while staring at my Costco baby wipes! Those awesome lids have unlimited ways to be used if you think about it! -By the way, I love to re-purpose things for my educational aids- So these lids are now my little obsession.

The lid's idea, for your poster or game, simply posts the question on the top of the lid while the inside, reveals the answer!

I say you can use this tool on any learning given fact or subject such as Math facts, Presidents, Periodic Table, formulas, you name it!

Once the lids were placed on the poster, my older girls helped glue the labels on top of the lids and on the inside, using the labels from the printable I share below.

That is all! Simple as that!

I guess, the hardest part of this project was to collect the 50 lids! That takes time!

Feel free to download the printable below, and send me a comment if you used the lids for any other projects, I would love to know how it went! let your creativity go wild!

Now let the trivia games begin😉
